General1
Globe thermometers are affected by convection, meaning they're influenced by ambient factors such as air temperature and air speed. Our sensors measure the radiant temperatures of the surrounding surfaces directly. This allows us to more accurately calculate things like point-based mean radiant temperature, with the added bonus of detecting radiant asymmetry. Visit the "Learn: Radiant Heat Transfer" page for more information.
